Cape Town: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni finally managed to win a toss as India decided to bowl first in the deciding Test against South Africa to be played here at the Newlands.

The good news for Team India is that Gautam Gambhir has returned to the playing eleven after missing the second Test at Durban due to injury. Gambhir will take the place of Murali Vijay.

India, the world`s top-ranked side, are keen to win their first series in South Africa although they will retain their place at the top of the rankings regardless of the outcome.

The visitors squared the series in Durban on Wednesday against the world number two side after losing the first Test by an innings.

Karachi: Pakistan one-day captain Shahid Afridi and head coach Waqar Younis have been summoned as witnesses by the International Cricket Council (ICC) anti-corruption tribunal which will consider spot-fixing allegations against three Pakistan players.

Suspended Test captain Salman Butt and pace bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir are due to appear before the three-member tribunal in Doha from Jan. 6-11.

The trio were suspended by the ICC in September while touring England with the national team after a report in the News of the World newspaper alleging they had taken bribes to arrange for no-balls to be delivered in the fourth Test.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement that the ICC had asked for Waqar and Afridi to attend the hearing. It said the pair would attend either in person or through a teleconference.

Afridi is returning home after a Twenty20 series in New Zealand but Waqar will be helping the team prepare for the first Test.
